Dudley Reed (1900-1970) was an American maker based out of Florida who had a prolific period of making instruments from around 1950-1956. He studied violin making with Carl Hildebrand and worked primarily as a maker and restorer. This violin has a rich and colorful timbre, sings beautifully in the upper register, and was a warm and bold low end. Length of back measures at 354mm.
